Koh Pu Mountain

Koh Pu Mountain rises above the island's northern villages and beaches, with forested slopes that give way to viewpoints over the coast. Walking routes pass through rubber plantations before continuing into the jungle, so the ascent offers a look at both the cultivated and wooded parts of Koh Pu. The trails include steep sections and call for sure-footed walking and some fitness. Guided hikes can be arranged locally, with routes discussed before setting out. Wear sturdy shoes and carry drinking water, snacks and mosquito repellent. The views depend on visibility, and the climb deserves more preparation than a casual beach walk.
